MKN’s latest deliverance to the web is Drawabble. Drawabble is a new Facebook game that combines Pictionary, Hangman, and Scrabble.
If you’re not drawing then you’re trying to figure out your friend’s “word” by watching your opponent’s drawing redraw in realtime. The realtime replay helps determine the scrambled word, and also adds on to the fun.
I’ve seen some pretty funny stuff so far, people’s drawings draw out from a genie lamp and etc…
After you correctly (or incorrectly) guess your friend’s drawing, you get to pick your next word from a huge collection of words. You’re not limited in this game, unlike other game’s that limit you to 3-4 words.
Remember, what and how you draw your word will be seen exactly from your opponent’s end. Spice up the game, try to throw them off.
I forgot to mention, for every correct word guessed, you earn coins. With coins you can buy more and more colors… this will expanded down the line, i.e. being able to spend coins to get the word’s hint (definition / parts of speech), and etc..
The game is developed in PHP 5.3 / Ajax (JavaScript – jQuery, jQuery UI) / HTML5 Canvas. All data is stored into the awesome MongoDB database. Content is delivered via NGINX servers combined with PHP cacheing instances.
